Hannah, Resident in Counseling
I get it—life can be hard sometimes, and opening up to someone can feel even harder. But I believe that every individual has a unique ability to help themselves by recognizing their specific needs. I also believe we get to pick our hard—whether it’s staying stuck in discomfort or taking the brave step toward growth and healing. Sometimes, I’m here as a sounding board to help you hear and learn to trust your own voice. Other times, I’m the one offering a firm yet gentle nudge to guide you toward the path you desire. My goal is to provide an empathetic, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can confidently explore your greatest challenges or most troubling thoughts—perhaps even the ones you’ve never shared before.
As a veteran and retired military spouse, I bring a unique perspective and understanding to therapy, particularly for those navigating the complexities of life transitions, stressors, and relationship challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American Military University in 2020 and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School in 2024. During my training, I specialized in person-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches, equipping me to support individuals and couples in overcoming a wide range of challenges.
Having had the privilege of working with diverse populations—children, adults, couples, military families, and individuals from all walks of life—I understand that you are more than a diagnosis. My approach combines evidence-based practices with cultural sensitivity, honoring your unique experiences and values. I aim to create a therapeutic process that is both meaningful and personalized to your needs. I see therapy as a collaborative journey where we work together to set clear, realistic, and achievable goals that will pave the way for lasting progress.
