Gifty, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Gifty is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner with over 6 years of experience as a registered nurse offering comprehensive patient care in the medical-surgical unit, long-term care, and behavioral health environments. Gifty earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon university, Arizona, and her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Walden University, Minnesota.
Gifty works well with diverse patient populations and foster trusting relationships to improve outcomes, provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote healing and recovery. She provides evidence-based, compassionate, and comprehensive individualized care to all patients across the lifespan: children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
She explains; I am known for my patient-centered approach, always prioritizing the needs and preferences of patients. I foster trusting relationships with patients and their families, ensuring open communication and collaboration in care decisions. I collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate and optimize patient care to improve outcomes. With my extensive experience and commitment to excellence, I continue to positively impact the lives of those I provide services to. In addition to the treatment of a variety of clinical concerns, including: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, psychosis, mood disorders like bipolar disorder and depression, OCD, PTSD, and insomnia, I also provide psychotherapy ( CBT, DBT, Grief counseling etc.).
